Bois d' Arc

Bois d'Arc (Janka 2400)is one of the hardest woods that we have in the United States. With Live Oak (Janka 3200), and Texas Ebony (Janka 2570) being the only two woods that I found naturally growing in the US which were harder. Incidentally, all three of these woods are native to Texas.  You might be surprised how good some of the "trash trees" look though.  For example, trees such as Bois d'Arc, Mulberry, and Willow all have a character and quality all their own.
